親愛的Jobson, 

 

我當然知道,司法程序還沒走完。

要求正義得以即時伸張,最基本的,如果連自己都不捍衛、不要求被剝奪的公平正義,還要誰來捍衛要求呢?

 

一個社會是否公平正義,是衡量社會健全良窳與否的標準。

而良知則是用來衡量人之為人的判準,在連最基本的社會規則都無法制裁不公不義時,只有退而求人性良知的自我展現。良知是心法,是無形的,是最高的,人能否得到真正的自由,是看這個。

 

飛行,不也就是從心所欲的意思嗎? 

 

我也十分認同魯西迪說的:

 

詩人的職責,就是要命名那無以名之的事物,出人性的爾虞我詐,畫清立場,開啟爭議,塑造世界並且讓世界保持清醒。 

 

只是,我從你那些信的轉折裡看出,你心裡的一些意念。

我說的them,不是指誠品那些人,是指糾纏在你內心的

 

或許,信之所以會解讀後那樣寫,是因為我更樂於看到,你透過音樂來談這一切,將你熱愛的搖滾,賦予他們在現實人生裡更具體真實的意義,不論最終是否平反,都藉由這種方式結合藝術與人生,讓世人看清世界美好表象的另一面。而促使人更努力去創造、維護真正的美好。 

 

歷劫歸來的人、留下來的人,從來都只有這種義務。

當然,這個義務,像良知的心法一樣。

Always Somewhere (by Scorpions, from “Lovedrive”, 1979)

 

Scorpions and the image of horse—from Wildfire to “The Suite of Ride See You—Then Came The Last Days of May”

Always Somewhere is from the 6th album Lovedrive of German metal rock band Scorpions, released in 1979. Always Somewhere was selected by Jobson as the 6th track in his early VU Suite, “《Never Come Back – California Wildfire SuiteNever Come Back –California加州野火組曲》, title named by Sumika in 2012, and counted by Sumika as the 20th VU Suite of Jobson’s works. Jobson never named it.

Since 2014, this VU Suite wasn’t broadcasted in VU Live House website no more. For it was disintegrated by Jobson. So here【The Velvet Underground Taipei Story】is the only place to hear the old tracks of ancient VU Suites. That’s why here this website has a subtitle: La version la plus rare de notre VU Live House Taipei.

It’s maybe the first time for you but not the last time to encounter the old tracks of Jobson’s VU Suites here.

Never Come Back – California Wildfire Suite” is a collection of 1970’s – 80’s pop rock music with soft rock bands from England, America, Germany…After the disintegration, several songs of the “Never Come Back – California Wildfire Suite” were selected again by Jobson in another new VU Suites:

Don’t Say We Are Over (by Harlow) →“Suite of Fun Time—Jealousy”(《Jealousy—歡樂年華組曲》 = “80’s 華麗金屬搖滾組曲 V”, renamed by Jobson in 2017.)

Wildfire (by Michael Murphy) →”Suite of I’ll Tell You A Story”(《I’ll Tell You A Story—光陰的故事組曲》= the original version of “Wildfire—New Folk Suite新民謠組曲” , renamed by Jobson in 2017.)

Fool (If you think it’s over) (by Chris Rea) → ”Shimmering Bagatelle—A strange kind of love” (《微光小品組曲—A strange kind of love= the original version of “Folk Suite IX—70’s Pop Folk”, renamed by Jobson in 2017, then renamed by Jobsonin 2018:《A Summer’s Day in Winter—American Folk Suite》.)

Since 2014, Jobson himself created several new VU Suites of this genre of lyrical rock, and focus on 1980’s soft rock & pop rock. As usual, Sumika is the first person who gives each VU Suite a title (and subtitle) while the debut broadcasting in VU Live House Taipei website, long before the naming by Jobson himself.

After the 1980’s pop rock series, another extended works of 1980’s dancing ballads of the disco night club are created by Jobson. special memories for someone like Jobson living their campus life and the fun youth with these ballads.

Besides, Scorpions’s Fly To The Rainbow was selected by Jobson in another VU Suite: “The Suite of Ride See You—Then Came The Last Days of May”, named by Sumika in 2013, then in 2017, it was retouched and renamed by Jobson: “Then Came The Last Days of May 70’s Classic Rock Ballads”.

The Suite of Ride See You—Then Came The Last Days of May” has several songs about horse, the same as “Wildfire”, a song written by Michael Murphy from a story his grandfather told him when he was a little boy — a prominent Native American legend about a ghost horse. “Wildfire” was selected by Jobson as the 7th track of “Never Come Back – California Wildfire Suite”, just after Always Somewhere. 天蠍馬匹Wildfire、新民謠到Then Came The Last Days of May組曲

Always Somewhere是成立於1965年的德國硬搖滾樂團Scorpions(天蠍樂團)在1979年推出的專輯”Lovedrive”中的歌曲。當時也是這支重金屬樂團鼎盛時期的開始。被Jobson選入他一支早期編製的流行搖滾系列的絲絨組曲中的第6首歌,這支組曲《Never Come Back –California加州野火組曲》,由Sumika在2012年命名,後來Sumika再加上Never Come Back,並為之編號為Jobson 的第20支絲絨組曲。

Scorpions有另一首Fly To The Rainbow被Jobson收在另一支早期絲絨組曲,也就是Sumika於2013年初聽時命名的《The Suite of Ride See You—Then Came The Last Days of May》,Jobson的第25支絲絨組曲(即2017年被Jobson改版並重新命名的” Then Came The Last Days of May 70’s Classic Rock Ballads” 組曲)。

特別的是,這支《The Suite of Ride See You—Then Came The Last Days of May》本身,有幾首歌意象與「馬」有關(Sumika上述設計的圖案便以此為意象思考組曲封面)。巧合的是,Michael Murphy的Wildfire同樣跟馬有關係,Wildfire被Jobson選入《Never Come Back –California加州野火組曲》的第七首(參見下一篇貼文的精選曲)。

Never Come Back –California加州野火組曲》在2013年8/18-8/25當週最後一次播放後,就再也沒有出現在地下絲絨VU Live House的官網播放。因此這裡介紹的曲子大概不會在VU Live House地下絲絨官網聽到。Never Come Back這標題命名有一部分即源出於這裡。

20 VU Suite Never Come Back-California 加州野火組曲

Never Come Back –California加州野火組曲》被Jobson拆解後,幾首歌分別被他重新收進其他絲絨組曲:

Don’t Say We Are Over (by Harlow) →收進《Jealousy—歡樂年華組曲》 = 即後來Jobson命名的“80’s 華麗金屬搖滾組曲 V”。

Wildfire (by Michael Murphy) →收進《I’ll Tell You A Story—光陰的故事組曲》= 即後來Jobson命名的 ”Wildfire—New Folk Suite新民謠組曲”)之前身。

Fool (If you think it’s over) (by Chris Rea) →收進《微光小品組曲—A strange kind of love》)(=即 Jobson於2017年重新命名 “Folk Suite IX—70’s Pop Folk” =等於 2018年Jobson重新命名的《A Summer’s Day in Winter—American Folk Suite》之前身或稱原型版本更貼切。

誠如Jobson說過,他很喜愛舞曲(這才是馬照跑、舞照跳的浪子本色),於是可以看到,後來編曲更意猶未盡,Jobson由此延伸新編了舞曲系列組曲,那是更為華麗的搖滾(Glam Metal),講究刺激而絢麗的視覺效果和髮型與服飾裝扮,充滿屬於泡沫經濟時代的絢爛色彩,許多那時流行的都會娛樂,年輕人泡在舞廳聽流行的西洋熱門歌曲。那也可看作是Jobson那一世代人(最騷包、揮霍美麗人生的世代),那些經典熱門名曲(Pop hits),陪伴他們大學校園時期和感情生活,是向歡樂年華黃金時代致敬的作品吧。
