北方的曲調以外,想必還有

靜默,依然是至上的留痕

 

然而,秋日又至,秋回,愛的旋律更深

將靜默贈予聆聽之前

日終止其日

生命之一天的鑰匙,已敲打成型?

線索線紛,永遠的,舞台是問

至情狂曲好期待

Prelude

Then, only listening to a song, how you’ve given it to all ears?

 

Rondos

“The Man Who”— “Writing to Reach You”, is always there.

Or, reading to touch you. Who will respond?

May not those northern lyrics, but beyond them

Silence remains the supreme track.

 

However, autumn is falling, once again in love

like the deep echo of silence…owe to the fall.

Before ending today’s end

is ready, the key of today of your life’s door?

 

The Decorative Project of your dream

is the place of those clues, if not on your stage?

Rain or shine, holding on…this open mind

Thus your own style comes

Your songs. Your words. Always keep your tone.

 

Listening is the poor way to reach you, without sign

Ears will be certain, indeed.

Till the end of the season, the velvet soul stands

not late, not next,

just tonight, between dawn and words broken.

For, to come is to go, and silence leads all. Listen,

A supreme done that can’t be undone is hard to regret yet.

Talking to the wind, reading between lines

a beam of the smiles is gazing right.

Surrounding in all notes,

as the parallels fountain pen attending to the falling soul,

they knew with delight.

May not only the ephemeral echo I lean on, but beyond all

your new suite, as a gift, remains bright.

Confession (by Cold, from the album “13 Ways to Bleed on Stage”, 1999)

Notes:

Confession, song by American alternative metal band Cold, is selected by Jobson for his VU Suite. When this VU Suite was broadcasted since Oct. 28th to Nov. 3rd 2012 in The Velvet Underground Taipei web site, Sumika named it:EncoreBand On The Run組曲(“Encore—Band On The Run Suite”), title related with two tracks in this Suite: Encore, with French lyrics, song by Lebowski, a progressive music band from Poland, and the song Band On the run by Paul McCartney and Wings. “Encore—Band On The Run Suite” will be counted by Sumika later as the 17th VU Suite of Jobson’s works. Later, it will be renamed again by Sumika as : Encore little boy—Confession Suite”, for the reasons below:

Jobson has chosen this VU Suite to broadcast in Velvet Underground Taipei website, after receiving Sumika’s poem “Like the deep echo of silence owe to the fallDedicated to dear Jobson”, the original poem in Chinese version. And Confession was chosen as the last track of this suite. It means that Jobson has realized that Sumika made a full confession of love for him by sending this poem, and a confession of most honest wishes for Jobson and his dear Velvet Underground Taipei Restaurant bar-club. Moreover, Sumika was looking forward to listening to furthermore wonderful new VU suites in the future. Sumika inspired Jobson in writing and composing musical suites. Undeniably, Sumika becomes and will always be the only one person in the world who appreciate highly Jobson’s brilliant talent for composing the musical suites.

After reading the poem, in the letter of 28 October 2012, Jobson replied Sumika that he felt a little disappointed for the lack of a strong willingness to sacrifice for the music in her poem (in fact, in comparison with the 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage” and with another track “Watch me bleed" of British rock band Tears For Fears) …

Several years later, Sumika found that “Confession” was from the album 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage”. Until then Sumika has read between the lines of Jobson’s letter for her. She learned finally the reason why Jobson had selected Confession as the last track for this VU Suite. Even if that choice was only a careless coincidence, but, what a sharp coincidence!! The reality is that, after reading her poem of confession, Jobson broadcasted the next week a musical suite with Confession as the last track. Always like sine qua non in their story…Of course, sooner or later, Sumika will find the unique magic that Jobson gave her everywhere. Sumika understand Jobson and his thoughts very well, just like she possesses almost the same KEY as Jobson to admire his composition of all VU Suites.

After reading her poem, Jobson showed already his expectation and high hopes for Sumika (later, high hopes will become a keyword and an important song in their story)  to do something with him in the future for his VU Suites. Otherwise, Jobson would not complain Sumika then. Unfortunately, Sumika’s poem was euphemistic and implicit in a classical style…Therefore, Jobson could not perceive at all Sumika’s deepest love for him. Nobody knows, a willingness become strong and strong to sacrifice anyway for him, even by bleeding on the stage of The Velvet Underground Taipei (if the stage of performance of VU Live House reappears in front of the world!), as shown on the album “13 Ways to Bleed on Stage”.

In the heartbreaking end, on the same day of his birthday, 21 October, in 2015, by breaking heart and tears she decided to leave him forever, the hardest way. Even though her heart still and forever stays with high hopes for Jobson and all his VU musical works. So true that Sumika’s crying in silence: “Give to her my beloved, just don’t hurt him…” may remind you the real mother implored in The judgement of Solomon.

No doubt in Jobson’s life, Sumika is the first and the only woman who concerns seriously in JUSTICE–“Justice is a universal virtue for all humanity” a philosophy that she believed, and the only woman who lives with this ideal and strong empathy so that she support Jobson with no regret in the struggle against The Eslite Company by sharing her thoughts and discussing with him and praising highly and cherishing all the works of Jobson’s Velvet Underground musical Suites. Sumika composed in 2014 a unique suite as an homage to Jobson and The Velvet Underground Taipei. It was presented by Jobson in an article “The Suite of Sumika” while it was broadcasted in the VU Live House Taipei official website in December 2014. For the first time (and maybe the only one), Jobson let another person’s musical suite appears in his VU Live House Taipei. Nowadays Sumika’s suite still exist there in the VU Live House Taipei website for the audiance. Notes: It was there before 24 September 2018! But Jobson’s official website VU Live House Taipei Restaurant can’t be found since 24 September 2018. What’s wrong with Jobson?

Sumika regards highly all Jobson’s writing, admiring his talent for the music. Nobody else but Sumika, in Jobson’s life, Jobson will not meet again a woman like her. Indeed. Time will tell.

In this letter, the Chinese poem written by Sumika is dedicated to Jobson, the owner of The Velvet Underground Taipei Restaurant bar-club, as a birthday present. Before sending this poem, Sumika has sent previously on 28th August 2012 an English version translated by herself. Confession(〈告白〉)被收錄在Jobson於2012年10月28日至11月3日播放於地下絲絨官網的絲絨組曲最後一首。Sumika根據其中法語對白的曲子〈再一次〉(Encore)和保羅麥卡尼樂團的〈逃亡中的一夥〉(Band On The Run)而取名EncoreBand On The Run組曲(英譯為︰“Encore—Band On The Run Suite”),成為後來Sumika所編列Jobson的第17支絲絨組曲。幾年後Sumika將組曲標題修改為Encore little boy—Confession組曲(英譯為︰“Encore little boy—Confession Suite”)。(Confession除了有告白表白之意還表示懺悔。)
